It’s a food competition for the historical territory of Biscay that is backed by the Asociación de Hostelería de Bizkaia, with the spirit of the championship matches at San Mamés. The 64 participants competed in four elimination rounds until there were four finalists, who went head-to-head cooking their Spanish omelettes in front of a professional jury in the grand finals of Bizkaiko Tortilla Kopa held at San Mamés. In addition, the popular vote of the customers of the bars during the championships decided the Goiko prize for the people’s choice of best Spanish omelette.
